MOTION GRAPHICS

Visual Design / Sound Design

INTRODUCTION

This is a collection of motion graphics. The first two are based off the Cartoon Network show Adventure Time. The third is a music themed animation. I learned a variety of animating tricks and techniques that taught me a lot about the complexities of animation, eases, and basic structural rigging.

ADVENTURE TIME ANIMATIONS

I did a couple motion graphics based off the popular kids cartoon Adventure Time. They were a great learning experience and gave me the opportunity to experiment with character animation using simplified characters.

Bumper

The first of the two is a small bumper for the show. The part I like the more about it is how well it syncs with the little cartoon network jingle at the end.

Motion Comic

The second is more of a motion comic mixture. It was a challenge because, unlike the bumper, this one had a mini story to it so I had to really plan the pacing.

WAIT.

This is another motion graphic that was inspired by 2014’s Song of the Sea. The story was set to the song Wait by The Dear Hunter.

The story inspiration was haunted houses, ghosts, and stuff of that nature. The trickiest part of this project was maintaining the style for the furniture, rooms, and, other objects.

The panels were built a bit different than the adventure time one. This time I planned more motion and some walk cycles which made it a far more complexed process.
