Visual Design / Ux Project
This project was designed to help users learn various methods and sketching techniques visually and successfully. The system would also help serve as a reference for specific body parts and facial features.
It would implement an AR system that the user could hover over their hand sketch and would analyze the similarity to the reference image.
These are some of the very early sketches for the application. I had a vague idea of how I wanted things to be laid out, but the hard part was trying to experiment with an easy to use and fast menu system.
I played with the idea of flipping the screen to bring up a menu, but this seemed more like a technical gimick rather than something actually useful or practical.
This was the starting phase for how the tutorial would function and what angle the prototype would be use. At this point I was just trying to explore the best route for the tutorial to take and what information needed to be conveyed for the user to succeed.
These are the test face designs I made up for the more in-depth prototype. The goal was the create enough variety between all of the features and facial structures that I would have a wide selection to work from.
In the final version there would have been more options such as skin color, hair color, and accessories such as glasses, freckles, and drawing style options.
